While it will not be published until 2006, excerpts will be available on this website from time to time. Chapter 2 (see Articles for free download) should be helpful in relating the basic fundamentals of music and note-reading to the guitar.

A Guitar is Born (A Study of the Solo Guitar Répertoire of the Early Nineteenth Century) is a study of the origins of the six-string classical guitar that began as a doctoral dissertation, but will soon be published for the general public. This book will be of interest to anyone who has ever wondered how the modern classical guitar came to be.
