New Teaching Method Book Released
MidShelf Music has released Scott Morris' book for learning the guitar called Classical guitar Complete: from Basics to Bach. It is currently available at GSI (Guitar Salon International) as well as directly from the publisher. Be sure to check out the audio clips of the pieces as well as the YouTube video lessons based on the book.
New University Faculty Appointment
Morris has recently been made a member of the full-time faculty at California State University, Dominguez Hills in Los Angeles. Matthew Greif from the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet has also joined the guitar faculty. Go Toros!
Line Forms Hear CD
Line Forms Hear continues to toil away in a Venice Beach recording studio. The trio is planning to finish the CD sometime later this year which consists of original music by Julian Coryell, Steven Thachuk and Scott Morris, as well one irresistible Led Zeppelin tune. The entire project is being recorded in high definition audio. Stay tuned!
New Erik Satie Solo Project
Scott's latest solo guitar project is a CD of his own arrangements of Erik Satie called Phonology. Morris is planning to release the recording in early 2012. MidShelf Music will also publish all of the scores.
